The purpose of this demo is twofold.
On the one hand it illustrates the ease with which you can enact style changes to your site. The changes you are about to apply could be "cascaded" across an entire site of thousands of pages just as easily as you are about to apply them to a single page.
Secondly, CSS simplifies user customization of visual aspects of your site. Sites such as ESPN.com allow the user to change the font size. This is one property illustrated below.
